Technical Services Structures Engineer to join our Technical Services Department, based in Hahn, Germany
Responsibilities
- Review of structural reports of damage found during checks or as a result of operational induced damage(Bird strikes, Lightning strikes, etc.)
- Manage and review structural repairs and damage
- Assessment of structurally related technical documentation
- Carry out damage assessment and determination of best course of action for rectification
- Development of possible repair based on available equipment/spares and resources and fleet requirements (including NTO for ferry flights if required)
- Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Services Engineering on getting timely approval of repair
- Follow-up on establishment of inspections for continuing airworthiness requirements
- Ensure the maintenance of the highest standard of records for structures repairs for compliance with EASA ,IAA, Leasing requirements and the support of sale and return of aircraft
- Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Engineering in continuous development of SRM repairs
- Review of Service bulletins and ADs for possible implementation on the fleet
- An element of shift work will be required including some weekend cover
Requirements
The ideal person will:
- Be a graduate Engineer or Aircraft Engineer with experience in Structures (Engineering degree or EASA Part 66 Licence)
- Have knowledge of and/or experience in B737NG/MAX and A320 types as an advantage
- Be willing to work shifts
- Have AMOS knowledge as an advantage
- Preferably with a valid EU/EEA passport with the unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union
- Have Interpersonal and intercultural skills, and be able to work in a Team or on your own
- Have a valid EU driver's license
- Have good knowledge of English (written and oral)
- Have preferably a valid German security clearance according to § 7 of German Aviation Security Act
